Mr. Platt is a highly decorated retired senior CIA officer. Among other things, he was awarded a Vice Presidential Commendation and the Intelligence Medal of Merit. He had a distinguished career in Clandestine Service and has a proven record of integrity, achievement, and leadership. During nearly 25 years of service with the CIA, he served in 6 field assignments, 4 of which as Chief of Station, responsible for the production of intelligence against National Collection Priorities and the conduct of clandestine operations. Headquarters assignments have included Executive Assistant to the DDCI; Deputy Chief, Special Activities Division; and, Deputy and Acting Chief, Counterintelligence Center. His last management assignment in the intelligence community was Associate Deputy Director for Operations, NSA, a multi-billion dollar enterprise consisting of several thousand civilian and military personnel. He has maintained Top Secret/SCI and compartment security clearances and in the private sector, he provides planning assistance, medical and security assistance, and consultancy support for the Defense Intelligence Agency’s Science and Technology Directorate, and to the Director of Central Intelligence and the Director of National Intelligence. Finally, he earned a B.S. in Aeronautical Engineering at the U.S. Naval Academy and an M.S. in Aeronautical Systems Engineering at the University of West Florida and was a member of the CIA Intelligence Fellows Program.
